I just got my first statement from Kiva!
Perhaps you’re not aware of Kiva.org. They’re a small organization that provides micro-loans to entrepreneurs in developing countries. The loans average about $500, some larger, many smaller, and are given to individuals or groups that have a specific entrepreneurial goal.
The money for the loans comes from you and me in increments of $25.00. Our individual loan amounts are added together to make the amount of loan requested by these entrepreneurs.
I made my first loan last month to these chicken farmers in Tanzania. 
Their total loan was for just under $4000 for four months. This morning I was notified that they’d made their first loan payment, right on time, and for just under $1000.
When the loan is repaid, I’ll loan that money to another person or group. That way my money recycles, benefitting many people over time.
